About the therapist
I have been practising Thai Yoga Massage (TYM) for the last 11 years. I came to find my aptitude for massage very early in life as my sister used to coax massages out of me in exchange for chocolate when I was a child. When I was 20 I studied Therapeutic Oil Massage and not long after this I discovered TYM whilst travelling in Thailand. By this time I was already practising yoga and meditation and when I discovered this form of bodywork which encompasses yoga, meditation and massage I totally fell in love. Straight away I felt very much as if I was 'born to do it' and it has been an important part of my life ever since.
I have completed numerous trainings with teachers of the Sunshine Network, both as student and assistant, in Thailand, India and Europe. My main teacher has been Laurino Bertelli whose original and creative style has influenced and inspired me. I have run my own private practice in North London for the past 8 years and have had a wide and varied clientele. I also take regular trips to Asia to deepen my practise of TYM and yoga and to attend meditation retreats which are instrumental in enabling me to practise in an aware and open state and with the ability to work intuitively and joyfully.
I never stop developing, refining and enjoying my practice as well as receiving enormous pleasure from seeing the transformational healing abilities of TYM in my work with my clients. Also I feel blessed to be able to share this knowledge with others in my workshops and to be able to see the spark of enthusiasm in my students as they too discover the beauty and benefits of TYM.
I see my healing work through the thai massage as my life purpose, spiritual practice and way of giving to the world around me. It is my intention to practise and teach with an open heart and mind. And through the sharing of this powerful art form, assist others towards deeper levels of health, happiness and harmony within themselves and the world around them.
